Circle of Love Ministries
The Ministry of the Circle of Love

Bro. Elmer McClain was a blind missionary in Haiti. He had lost his vision many years ago in an explosion. He pastored a church in W. Pennsylvania for a time, but then felt God's call to Haiti. During Bro. McClain's time in Haiti he helped to establish a school to train national pastors. Unfortunately due to health concerns Bro. McClain had to return to the states in the mid 70's. The Circle of Love Ministry to the blind had its beginning in August, 1979.

He had a desire to reach the blind for Christ through a fundamental ministry. The Circle of Love Tape Ministry began with just eight readers.

In 1984 Bro. McClain contacted me about assuming Circle of Love. He was having heart problems and because of his age, he could not keep up with the demands of the ministry. After much prayer on my part, I felt that the Lord would have me to take over the reigns of this ministry. In 1995 God called Bro. Elmer McClain home! Now he has "perfect" vision!

Today we have several hundred readers across America and throughout the world. Each month tapes are sent to such countries as

Bangladesh
Egypt
Canada
Nigeria
Zambia
Malawi

Pakistan
Ireland
United Arab Emirates
Australia
Zimbabwe
India

Thanks to free mailing privileges for the blind in most countries of the world there is very little postal cost. Tapes have been sent every month since the first issue in August 1979.

The ministry derived its name "Circle of Love" because the tapes go out and then are returned. Many times subscribers will ask a Bible question or have some other information that they want to convey to me, so this arrangement works quite well!

Each month the Circle of Love tape includes conservative Gospel music, Bible games, recognition of birthdays, a prayer request section, Christian news articles and a message from God's Word. Readers are given the opportunity to contribute selections such as musical specials, Christian poetry or personal testimonies for consideration for the tape.

One way you can help our ministry is to pray for us. We are trying to reach a group of people who many times are forgotten. We want them to know that they are important to God and that although blind, God can and will use them for His glory. We have folk who are serving in various capacities in their local churches doing such things as

Playing an instrument
Singing specials in the church services
Writing letters of greeting to visitors to the church
Greeting the church folk when they arrive
Working in the nursery
Calling absentee members and inviting them back to the church
Organizing prayer chains
Going on soul-winning/visitation

Just because one has lost their vision is no excuse for not getting saved or serving God after salvation!
